Forest Sector

Forests contribute to 31% of the total earth space. Large biodiversity is supported by these forests. Hence there is a need to conserve and preserve this diversity and hand it down to further generations. Illegal logging, smuggling of rare tree species, poaching and many more illegal activities have been lately observed. Manual surveillance of such vast lands is hardly possible, hence drones come into the picture.

How drones would aid in doing so?
Drones can maintain a check on the animal count, survey vast lands, and record high-resolution imagery for forest restoration and research purposes. Imagery related to inaccessible mangroves, hidden water bodies, exotic plant and animal species worth a lot can be obtained through drones. Drones on surveillance can spot illegal loggers and poachers and hence are a suggestible means to stop activities as such.
